Since the January release, changes to a statement of work (SOW) can be registered and made transparent by using revisions. As of this release, it is possible to include changes to the SOW’s work items as part of a revision too. This functionality is part of the SOW Project Tracking module, the module with which outsourced projects can be recorded and tracked centrally.
As soon as an SOW is finalised, further changes can only be applied by means of an SOW revision. In a single revision, changes to both the SOW itself and the associated work items can be registered. It is also possible to add new work items. The revision can then go through an approval process after which the changes are activated in the SOW itself. The workflow and approval steps can, of course, be configured as desired.
With this functionality it is not only possible to ensure that all parties involved are in agreement with the intended changes, but later on it is always possible to find out when the changes have been applied and who has agreed to them.
